JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - A fast-moving fire severely damaged a northern New Jersey home, displacing nine people and leaving one person injured.

Officials say an electrical problem may have sparked the blaze at the two-family home on Fulton Avenue in Jersey City. But they say the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The fire was reported around 6:15 a.m. Monday and was battled by several firefighters.

The American Red Cross was assisting six adults and three children who were displaced by the blaze. Officials confirmed one person was hurt in the fire, but further details were not disclosed.
