FRANKLIN, Pa. (AP) - Police are trying to find a driver they believe purposely struck a 68-year-old man with his vehicle following a disturbance in the driveway of the victim’s northwestern Pennsylvania home.

Sugarcreek Township police say the driver argued with the resident, drove away, then drove back up the resident’s long driveway at about 35 mph and struck the man.

Cheryl Brickner says the driver created a disturbance by revving his engine shortly before midnight New Year’s Eve in the couple’s driveway. She says her husband, Jim, was outside with their dog, heard the noise and confronted the driver.

Brickner says the man punched her husband and drove away, only to drive back up the driveway, hitting her husband from behind.

Brickner says her husband has a broken pelvis, shoulder and dislocated hip.
