SPENCERVILLE, Md. (AP) - Montgomery County police say a motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a car in Spencerville.

The crash occurred Sunday afternoon on Spencerville Road.

WJLA reports (https://bit.ly/1RYgoNS ) that police say their preliminary investigation indicates the crash occurred when the motorcyclist crossed the center line to pass the car, just as the car began to turn left.

Police say the motorcyclist, identified as 42-year-old Joe Dababneh of Silver Spring, was taken to a hospital, where he died. Police say the driver of the car was also taken to an area hospital, but her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
