LINCOLN, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire ski areas will take part in a national attempt to set the record for most ski and snowboard lessons taught in a day.

Ski areas will conduct lessons in their respective time zones beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, to try to set a record for largest multi-venue lesson session.

Participating mountains in New Hampshire include Bretton Woods, Cranmore, Gunstock, King Pine, Mount Sunapee, Loon, Pat’s Peak, Ragged Mountain and Waterville Valley. They’re offering special lesson-rental-lift ticket deals for beginners.
