NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Authorities in Norman are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck by a train.

Emergency crews responded Tuesday afternoon to the scene of the deadly collision at a railroad crossing in southeast Norman. The collision occurred about 2 p.m. and traffic on a roadway that crosses the tracks has been shut down.

Investigators have not identified the victim and it was not immediately clear why the victim was on the tracks. Details about the collision were not immediately available.
