SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner and Rep. Paul Tonko say localities need more federal funding to help maintain water infrastructure.
The pair is holding a conference call with the media Wednesday morning as they seek more funding.
Syracuse has suffered chronic problems with its aging water infrastructure system. Miner has claimed her city had been averaging more than one water main break a day because many of the pipes were installed 100 years ago or more.
