BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A 21-year-old Baton Rouge man has been indicted on a second-degree murder charge in the shooting death last January of a 19-year-old man.

Roderick White faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison if convicted as charged in the slaying of NaQuian Robinson on Jan. 6, 2015.

Police have said Robinson was the victim of a robbery attempt.

The Advocate reports (bit.ly/1RkPhx2) the case has been assigned to state District Judge Beau Higginbotham.
