EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - A man killed in an apartment fire in Everett on New Year’s Eve has been identified.

The Daily Herald reports (https://goo.gl/DGpnnK ) 65-year-old Mark A. Davis died of smoke inhalation.

Everett Assistant Fire Marshal Eric Hicks says the cause of the fire is undetermined due to a lack of evidence surrounding exactly what happened before a mattress caught fire in a bedroom.

More than 12 people were injured in the blaze and some 150 were displaced.

The American Red Cross is keeping a shelter open.
