NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a homeless man faces murder charges in the fatal stabbing of a McDonald’s worker in the Bronx.

Police say 28-year-old Adam Garcia was stabbed multiple times in the torso around 4:30 a.m. Monday in the parking lot of a McDonald’s on Broadway and West 236th Street. Police say it happened after he escorted the suspect out of the restaurant.

Garcia was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police say 48-year-old Rafael Gonzalez turned himself in to police Wednesday night. He faces murder and manslaughter charges.

It wasn’t immediately clear if he had a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
