NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a 68-year-old New Jersey woman was killed when she was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

It happened just after 6:30 p.m. Thursday at East 78th Street and York Avenue.

Police say Andrea Kremen, of Fort Lee, suffered head trauma and was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle, which was travelling northbound on York Avenue, remained at the scene.

There have been no arrests.
