WARREN, Ohio (AP) - A northeast Ohio man has been indicted on murder, child endangering and felonious assault charges in the death of a 3-year-old boy.

Forty-three-year-old Arthur Harper, of Warren, is being held in Trumbull County jail on a $1 million bond. Harper’s public defender wasn’t available for comment Wednesday.

Harper is charged with killing 3-year-old Russell Cottrill, who was taken to a local hospital on Nov. 28 and died two days later at a hospital in Cleveland. The Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH’-guh) County medical examiner hasn’t ruled on the boy’s cause of death.

A Trumbull County assistant prosecutor declined to discuss details about the case.

Harper was arrested by Warren police on Dec. 2.
