BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - A northwest Ohio man has been convicted of murder in the death of his 3-month-old son.

A Wood County judge on Wednesday found James Henderson guilty of murder, felonious assault and endangering children in the May 17, 2014, death of Brandon Henderson.

The 22-year-old Wayne man was acquitted of another endangering charge related to an earlier injury to the baby. Henderson didn’t testify in his own defense.

Prosecutors said evidence showed Henderson did more than 200 online searches for “shaking baby syndrome” around the time of the boy’s death. The judge said such extensive searching points to intent, rather than an accidental action.

Officials said the boy died from abusive head trauma. It was declared a homicide.

Henderson faces life in prison when he is sentenced March 8.
