WOODSTOCK, Vt. (AP) - Police say they are still searching for a masked man who robbed a People’s United Bank branch in Vermont earlier this week and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Rutland Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1ZaQnQb ) the suspect, dressed in dark clothing, entered the Woodstock bank just before 3 p.m. Monday and passed a note to a teller demanding cash.

Police say witnesses estimated the robber was a white man in his 20s wearing black pants, black gloves and a dark hooded jacket with a ski mask. No weapons were seen during the robbery.

Police Chief Robbie Blish says no one saw the suspect flee despite the robbery taking place near the Windsor County town’s center.

Blish says he assumes the crime was drug-related.
