MACON, Ga. (AP) - Authorities are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for leads in the death of a man found with a gunshot wound inside a burning vehicle in east Macon.

The Georgia Arson Hotline announced the reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction after 43-year-old Deleon Wiley Hudson was found dead inside a burning sport utility vehicle on Dec. 22.

The Telegraph reports (bit.ly/1PLIzfI) that firefighters found a burning cloth stuck into the opening of the gas tank.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said Hudson suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head, but he had no burns on his body. Jones said firefighters got there so quickly that the car didn’t have time to burn up.
