ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - The latest in the Freddie Gray case, after an officer was ordered to testify against a fellow officer (all times local):

Trial dates have been pushed back for two officers facing charges stemming from Freddie Gray’s death.

A news release from the Baltimore Circuit Court sent Thursday says the trial for Sgt. Alicia White, the third officer scheduled to stand trial, will begin Feb. 8. The trial for Officer Garrett Miller will now begin March 7.

The delays come after the trial for Caesar Goodson, the transport van driver facing the most serious charge, was pushed back from Jan. 6 to Jan. 11.

Meanwhile, a judge has ruled that William Porter, whose trial ended in a mistrial, must testify against Goodson and White. Porter’s attorneys on Thursday asked an appeals court to block that decision. The higher court could hold a hearing on the matter or issue a written ruling.

An attorney for a Baltimore police officer charged in the death of Freddie Gray is asking an appeals court to block a judge’s ruling that the officer must testify at his colleague’s upcoming trial.

Baltimore Circuit Judge Barry Williams ruled Wednesday that William Porter, whose trial ended in a mistrial last month, must testify if called as a prosecution witness at the trial of Caesar Goodson. Goodson is the van driver who faces the most serious charge of all six officers indicted in connection with Gray’s death. Goodson’s trial begins Monday; Porter is set to be tried again in June.

Porter’s attorneys filed court papers Thursday asking the Maryland Court of Special Appeals in Annapolis to block that ruling so that Porter can’t be forced to testify.
