PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say they have arrested a woman who falsely reported that her vehicle was stolen with her 4-week-old son still inside the car in West Linn.

The Oregonian reports (https://goo.gl/8rCHrT ) police found the car and baby unharmed Wednesday after an Amber Alert was issued. Thirty-one-year-old Terra Nicole Brandenburg faces several charges, including driving under the influence of intoxicants and child neglect.

Sgt. Dave Kempas says Brandenburg had been driving when she struck the Oregon City-West Linn Arch Bridge, parked the damaged vehicle at an apartment complex and then went across the street to a gas station.

Kempas says she left with a box of wine and then went back to tell the clerk her car had been stolen with her baby inside.

Responding officers quickly located the vehicle and the child.
