HARVEY, La. (AP) - Jefferson Parish authorities have recovered the body of an unidentified man from a pond at a Harvey shopping center.

Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Col. John Fortunato tells local media outlets that the body was pulled from the pond at Fountain Park Centre on Thursday afternoon.

Although the man hasn’t been named, Fortunato says the man is believed to be a Terrytown man reported missing by friends on Tuesday.

The man’s fully-clothed body was discovered just before 3:20 p.m. in the small body of water that sits in the middle of the shopping center.

The man’s cause of death hasn’t been determined. An autopsy will be performed.
