HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A Hartford man who authorities say sold drugs to members of the Los Solidos gang has admitted to heroin possession charges in federal court.

The Hartford Courant reports (https://cour.at/1S7WlNj ) 39-year-old Yoanni “Cuba” Suarez faces between five and 40 years in prison after pleading guilty Thursday to possession with intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin.

A federal arrest affidavit says members of the FBI’s Northern Connecticut Violent Crimes Task Force found 300 grams of heroin concealed under the bed liner of Suarez’s Dodge pickup truck in September.

Suarez’s Stafford Street home was searched and a large package of heroin reportedly weighing about one kilogram was found behind ceiling tiles in the kitchen.

Federal authorities received a tip that Suarez had received 5 kilograms of heroin before the bust.
