HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Police have identified a man shot to death in Pennsylvania’s capital city.

Police responded to a report that a man was hurt after shots were fired in Harrisburg just before 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Officers found the man on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

City police identified the victim as 29-year-old Eric Byrd.

Police have not named any suspects.

An investigation is underway.
