DOVER, Del. (AP) - Three people have been arrested on drug charges in Dover after police say they were found with nearly 1,400 bags of heroin.

Police spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman says that Thursday, officers made contact with 21-year-old Jamichael Peck, 22-year-old Shakkiah Bodine and 43-year-old Leondrei Prince at the corner of New and Reed streets. Police say Peck tried to walk away as officers approached, and threw a bag of marijuana and heroin.

Hoffman says after all three suspects were taken into custody, Bodine and Peck were found with a total of 1,390 bags or 20.85 grams of heroin. He says Peck also had 2.2 grams of marijuana while Prince had .4 grams of crack cocaine. Peck, Bodine and Prince each face multiple drug-related charges.

It’s unclear if the suspects have attorneys.
