BLUFFTON, S.C. (AP) - A Hardeeville teenager has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of a Bluffton man.

The Island Packet of Hilton Head Island reports (https://bit.ly/1RsfZDK) 17-year-old Kryon Primus was charged Friday with the murder of 29-year-old Jon Kinlaw, who was shot in the chest and killed Jan. 3 in the parking lot of a Bluffton Dollar General.

A news release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office says Kinlaw was shot and killed while meeting with Primus. It says investigators believe Kinlaw knew Primus and the shooting wasn’t a random act of violence.

Police Chief Joey Reynolds says the investigation is ongoing and other arrests are expected.

Kinlaw’s death was Beaufort County’s first murder in 2016.
