COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A slew of candidates seeking the Republican presidential nomination are in South Carolina this weekend for a discussion on fighting poverty.
The Jack Kemp Foundation is holding a forum on Saturday at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, moderated by House Speaker Paul Ryan and U.S. Sen. Tim Scott.
Organizers say GOP hopefuls including former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie are taking part in the first panel of the day.
Next up are businesswoman Carly Fiorina and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
After remarks by Gov. Nikki Haley and U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio are taking part in a third panel.
