ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) - A St. George woman who wore a colander for her driver’s license photo will serve house arrest for a DUI charge.

The Spectrum newspaper (https://bit.ly/1kVAY3k) reports that 42-year-old Jessica “Asia” Steinhauser pleaded no contest Thursday in exchange for avoiding jail time.

Police say Steinhauser took her daughter to the Washington County School District’s offices on March 5 and officials say she seemed intoxicated and passed out on a couch.

Defense attorney Douglas Terry says Steinhauser’s daughter is a special-needs child and that Steinhauser has been proactive and getting counseling.

Steinhauser garnered attention in September 2014 when she posed for her driver’s license photo with a pasta strainer on her head.

An atheist, Steinhauser said at the time she was part of the satirical Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
