FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Fayetteville police have obtained warrants charging a man in connection with a wreck that killed five people.

A statement from police on Friday said 22-year-old Terek Rashad Johnson is facing multiple charges, including five counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Johnson is listed in serious condition at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

At the time of the crash on Wednesday, Fayetteville Police Chief Harold Medlock called it the worst he has seen in his career. Medlock said four people died at the scene while four others were taken to local hospitals where one of them later died.
