MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - A special commission is holding forums around Vermont to hear about parents’ child care challenges.
Evening forums are planned in Burlington, Barre and St. Johnsbury on July 25 and in Rutland and Brattleboro on July 26.
Officials say more than 70 percent of Vermont children under the age of six live in families where parents are working.
The governor-appointed Blue Ribbon Commission on Financing High-Quality, Affordable Child Care will be issuing a report to the Legislature in November.
