NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - In a story July 11 about a student who was fatally shot in New Castle, Delaware, The Associated Press reported erroneously where the student went to school. Malcolm Evans attended Delaware State University, not the University of Delaware.

New Castle County Police say a Delaware State student was fatally shot in his car while he was on his way to work

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - New Castle County Police say a Delaware State University student was fatally shot in his car while he was on his way to work.



The department said in a news release that 19-year-old Malcolm Evans was driving to work early Saturday when a single gunshot was fired into his car.

Police say the car crashed on Country Path Drive. Evans was taken to a hospital, where officers say he died Sunday afternoon.
