AUBURN, Wash. (AP) - A 24-year-old Auburn woman has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the death of her 4-month-old daughter.

KCPQ-TV reports (https://goo.gl/hMl4YE ) that Mariah Phillips was arraigned in King County Superior Court Monday. Her husband, 34-year-old Lee Dupay, is also charged with second-degree murder and is to be arraigned July 26 after a psychiatric evaluation.

Prosecutors say the parents had neglected and abused the child, which led to her death. An autopsy determined that the baby was extremely malnourished and had multiple rib fractures.

Both Phillips and Dupay are being held in King County jail on $1 million bail.
