CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A Cheyenne firm that produces blasting material and other products for coal mines is laying off 15 employees.

Dyno Nobel says the layoffs will come from its manufacturing plant located in Cheyenne.

About 150 people work in Dyno Nobel’s manufacturing section.

Company officials say most of its products are sold to mining companies in the Powder River Basin in northeast Wyoming.

The state’s coal industry has struggled in the last year, resulting in hundreds of miners being laid off.
