JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - The body of a Juneau woman missing since Sunday has been found.

Police say the body of 36-year-old Kristina Young was found Tuesday along the beach of north Douglas Island.

An autopsy has been ordered. An initial examination showed signs of exposure but no indication of foul play.

The body of Young’s brother, 40-year-old George Young, was found Sunday in Lemon Creek. The creek flows into Gastineau Channel, the body of ocean water that separates Douglas Island from the mainland.

Police launched a search after George Young was found. They recovered items belonging to both Kristina and George about a half-mile upstream from where George Young’s body was found.

Authorities feared Kristina Young might have fallen into Lemon Creek. Air searchers and ground searchers with dogs looked for her Monday.
