RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A man suspected of killing a woman at a Rapid City hotel late last year has been returned to South Dakota and is scheduled to appear in court next week.

Sixty-year-old Brian Duncan is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 60-year-old Helen Wright, whose body was found in a room at the Western Thrifty Inn last November. Authorities said Wright and Duncan had been living in the room, and that Wright had been assaulted.

Duncan was arrested in San Marcos, Texas, on June 18. The Rapid City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/29DAnyA ) that he is now in custody in Pennington County, awaiting a July 22 court hearing. It wasn’t clear if he has an attorney.
