PRAGUE (AP) - Sparta Prague striker Patrik Schick is moving to Sampdoria.

The Czech club says the 20-year-old Schick passed a medical in Genoa on Wednesday. Sampdoria has confirmed the transfer.

Financial details were not immediately available though Czech media speculated the Italian club paid 4 million euros ($4.4 million).

Schick scored eight goals in qualifying games for the 2017 under-21 European Championship and played 28 minutes for the Czech Republic in a Euro 2016 warm-up match against Malta.

He scored one goal but didn’t make the team for the European Championship in France.

Schick was on loan last season at Bohemians Prague 1905 and scored eight goals in 31 games in the Czech top tier.
