WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) - A witness in the May shooting death of a woman called an innocent bystander by western Pennsylvania authorities has now been jailed in a separate shooting.

The (Washington) Observer-Reporter (hhttps://bit.ly/29C3mSQ ) reports that 24-year-old Edwin Rivera is charged in Washington County with aggravated and simple assault as well as reckless endangering in a shooting Tuesday at a South Strabane Township motel.

A witness said he pulled out a revolver and asked, “Who wants to play Russian roulette?” when the gun went off and a bullet struck the victim.

Rivera was walking with 19-year-old Alexis Barnett when she was shot and killed. He testified at a July 1 hearing that led to homicide charges against two men.

Court documents don’t list an attorney for Rivera who could respond to the charges.
