MOBRDIGE, S.D. (AP) - A Mobridge woman has been sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to pay back nearly $23,000 on an embezzlement charge.

Authorities say 32-year-old Leslie Apple made fraudulent loans while working as the manager at Gentry Finance. She’s also accused of faking a robbery.

The Aberdeen American News reports (https://bit.ly/29QybG5) that Apple pleaded guilty to property received in trust. She was given credit for serving 28 days in jail.
