MADISON, Wis. (AP) - One of Wisconsin’s influential conservative talk radio hosts who was an outspoken critic of Donald Trump before the state’s primary now says he will vote for him.

Mark Belling is one of six conservative radio hosts who helped fuel Trump’s defeat in April’s primary. But Belling announced earlier this month he intends to vote for Trump, and in a newspaper column published Wednesday he explains why.

Belling works for WISN radio in Milwaukee. He has referred to Trump as a “blowhard,” ”fraud,” a “clown” and a “buffoon.”

But in his column announcing his change in position, Belling says Trump is a better choice than Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Belling is one of the latest in a line of Republicans in Wisconsin who had opposed Trump but is now backing him.
