JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) - Officials say damage to a fiber optic cable near the Jamestown Regional Airport has resulted in widespread phone outages.

KSJB radio reports that the service has been disrupted in Barnes, Dickey, LaMoure and Stutsman counties.

CenturyLink officials say the cable was cut by a construction crew.

Emergency phone service is being routed through State Radio to the Stutsman County Law Enforcement Center in Jamestown.
