BOSTON (AP) - Gov. Charlie Baker said he’s met with Indiana Gov. Mike Pence a few times and found him to be charming.

Pence was emerging as the late favorite as a possible running mate to presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Baker said Thursday he’s had lunch with the fellow Republican governor a couple of times when Pence, who has a daughter attending Northeasten University, was in Massachusetts.

Baker said he mostly knows Pence through the National Governor’s Association. He said Pence has had experience at the federal level and has been a successful governor of Indiana.

Baker said the choice of a running mate is a personal decision.

Baker has repeatedly said that he doesn’t believe Trump has the temperament to be president and won’t vote for him.
