ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) - A Rochester man who left an SUV as it traveled down a highway has died from his injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 27-year-old David Valdez was a passenger in the vehicle on Highway 52 in Rochester when he “exited the vehicle on his own.” A 26-year-old woman was driving the SUV at the time.

KTTC-TV (https://bit.ly/29RBkqF ) says Valdez was taken to Mayo Clinic-Saint Marys hospital where he later died.

The State Patrol is investigating.
