PITTSBURGH (AP) - A tractor-trailer overturned on a bridge in Pittsburgh, causing a massive metal coil it was hauling to roll off the bed and smash into a nearby home.

The inbound lanes of the Glenwood Bridge were closed for several hours Thursday after the accident before 6 a.m., causing traffic woes during the morning rush. WPXI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/29xK71t ) the bridge reopened just before 9 a.m.

The metal coil, weighing thousands of pounds, fell off, rolled down the road and hit the house.

The owner of the home told KDKA-TV (https://cbsloc.al/29QxNJ7 ) she had to evacuate because of concerns about damage to the foundation.

There were no immediate reports of injuries, but the driver was able get out of the cab after the accident.
