MILWAUKEE (AP) - Police say an officer was injured after being dragged by a car in Milwaukee that had been stolen from a dealership.

Police say in a statement officers on Wednesday evening spotted four teenagers in the car, which had been taken from a dealership in Sturtevant. Officers tried to stop the car and the young people inside jumped out while it was still moving. They were caught nearby.

The car was left in gear when they got out and the officer lost his balance while trying to stop it. The car came to rest when it hit a light pole. Police say the 51-year-old officer was taken to a hospital, where he was expected to make a full recovery.

Police arrested two 17-year-old boys, a 16-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl.
