MASONVILLE, N.Y. (AP) - State police say they’re investigating a fire and explosion that has left a 31-year-old upstate New York man in critical condition.

Troopers say they responded around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a fire and explosion at a home in the rural town of Massonville, in western Delaware County 85 miles southwest of Albany.

Police say Shayne Charles, who lived at the residence, suffered burns and was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. He’s listed in critical condition Thursday.

Troopers say two other people suffered minor injuries.

No other details have been released.

Troopers say they’re still investigating the cause of the fire.
