OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City police say a security guard shot and killed a man who was shooting at him outside an apartment complex.

Sgt. Gary Knight says officers were called about 1:30 a.m. Thursday to the complex on the city’s south side where they found 38-year-old Kenta Stepney shot to death.

Knight says security guard Joseph Modia told officers he saw Stepney firing a gun and confronted him. Knight says Stepney then fired at Modia, who returned fire, killing Stepney.

Modia was not injured.

Knight says there have been no arrests and a report on the investigation will be given to the district attorney’s office to determine whether charges will be filed.
