MIAMI (AP) - U.S. Marshals have arrested a man in Miami who is suspected of shooting and killing a man in Selma.

Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson tells the Selma Times-Journal (https://bit.ly/29KIDjh) that 23-year-old Vardarius Hall was arrested Tuesday in Miami, and should be back in Dallas County by next week.

Hall has been sought as a suspect for the June 12 shooting death of 27-year-old Jermaine Tarver.

Police believe Tarver had been outside playing cards when Hall approached him. Authorities say the two began arguing about personal property, and Hall retrieved a gun and began shooting at Tarver.

Hall then returned to a vehicle which contained three other defendants. Tarver was taken to Vaughan Regional Medical Center where he died of multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.

It’s unclear if Hall has an attorney.
