EUEGENE, Ore. (AP) - An Oregon woman has had her chiropractic license suspended after accusations that she stabbed another woman in the neck in a botched assisted suicide.

The Register-Guard reports (https://bit.ly/2afBt4G ) that Shawn Marie Arbor of Arbor Chiropractic has been charged with attempted manslaughter. A July 8 notice from the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners placed Arbor on emergency suspension.

The notice cites “grave concerns” that Arbor could take similar actions against others. It also says Arbor told police she was instructed by supernatural forces to assist in the woman’s suicide.

The victim was taken to the hospital and her condition is not known.

Court records show that Arbor has been released from jail on bail. A phone call to Arbor Chiropractic was not answered and the voice mailbox was full.
