MADISON, Wis. (AP) - The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has identified three cities as a possible new headquarters for its forestry division.

The DNR says the division, now located in Madison, could be moved to Hayward, Rhinelander or Wausau. The State Journal (https://bit.ly/29TJtL6 ) reports that more than 40 communities had expressed interest in landing the division. The DNR considered communities north of Highway 10.

The current state budget directs the DNR to work on a plan to move the forestry division, which employs 450 people statewide, including 56 in Madison.
