OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) - It matters to Ocean Springs that a sign is missing on Interstate 110.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/29Ibq6n) residents told Ocean Springs Mayor Connie Moran Wednesday that it’s crucial the city get the sign back up.

The sign directed drivers heading south to exit right and take the loop to go east toward Ocean Springs. When drivers fail to do that, I-110 puts them out onto U.S. 90 heading west toward the Biloxi Lighthouse.

Drivers have been doing it all year, because the Ocean Springs ramp sign has been down that long.

Mississippi Department of Transportation District Engineer Kelly Castleberry said there are actually 20 of the big overhead directional signs missing along the thoroughfare, but that’s the only one anyone has called about.
