CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Authorities have identified the man who died at an oil well site in Natrona County as 28-year-old Dennis McCulloch of Casper.

Officials said he died from a 76-foot fall on Thursday.

An initial report that the man was crushed by equipment was false.

The Natrona County Coroner’s Office says safety equipment was in place at the time of the incident, which remains under investigation.

The victim was an employee of a company doing work at an oil field operated by FDL Energy.
