OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say an Ocean Springs man accused of running a major spice operation worth up to $3 million is facing federal drug charges.

The Sun Herald reports 35-year-old Anthony McFall has pleaded not guilty to a federal drug conspiracy charge along with two counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

McFall is set to go to trial Oct. 3. He is being held without bond in the Stone County jail.

Narcotics agents first arrested McFall on April 30, 2015, after raiding his home and seizing 18 pounds of synthetic marijuana powder. Agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics said the amount of powder was enough to make more than 700 pounds of the synthetic marijuana known as spice.
