RIVER EDGE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say they believe a body found near the Hackensack River bank in northern New Jersey is that of a man reported missing over the weekend.

River Edge Police Lt. Michael Walker says the body was found around noon and is believed to be that of 26-year-old Keith O’Connell. An autopsy will be conducted to confirm the identity.

Police say the man’s mother reported him missing Sunday morning. He had been recently staying with her in River Edge.

Walker says the body was found between a train station parking lot and the river bank but police aren’t sure how he ended up there.

Investigators don’t suspect foul play in the man’s death.
