DOUGLASSVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Pennsylvania state troopers are searching for a woman who they say stole thousands of dollars worth of horse riding equipment and gear from stables at four horse farms.

WFMZ-TV reports (https://bit.ly/29GYdss ) police say 28-year-old Avery Whyte targeted horse farms in Union Township and Amity Township and stole items including saddles, bridles, reins and jackets.

Investigators say Whyte stole the gear and tried to sell it online. She’s being charged with receiving stolen property but police haven’t been able to track her down.

Police say they raided one of her last known addresses and found $18,000 worth of gear, including 11 saddles. Much of the gear has been recovered.

Authorities are looking for other possible victims.
