DENVER (AP) - A 14-year-old boy who was one of two children struck by a car in southeast Denver has died.

The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/NtKivE ) Cole Sukle and a 13-year-old boy were hit Wednesday while standing along a curb. The coroner’s office was notified of the death Thursday morning.

Investigators say the 81-year-old driver was swerving in and out of opposing traffic when she hit the boys. She also was hospitalized and has been charged with careless driving resulting in death and careless driving resulting in injury.

The boy’s death has been ruled an accident. The 13-year-old boy’s injuries are not life-threatening.
